The guide outlines mitigation measures to allow school in-person instruction and the education models the District is recommending to maximize in-person education while maintaining proper safety protocols.
The UCF Flu Clinic will take place on Thursday, October 1 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Unionville High School. Registration is required this year to help ensure social distancing is enforced. Please print and complete a consent form before you arrive and if you have health insurance, please bring your card.
The District announced that we will be partnering with Dr. Salwa Sulieman to provide us with guidance on interpreting COVID-19 data and metrics related to our instructional model (virtual, hybrid, or fully in-person). Navigating remote learning and the feelings that come with it may be difficult for some of our younger learners. The UCF Elementary Behavioral Health Team has created a Virtual Calming Room for elementary students to explore.
The updated Unionville-Chadds Ford Continuity of Education Plan is to be implemented during the remote learning period from September 8 until October 8, 2020.

On August 24, 2020, the Unionville-Chadds Ford School Board voted 9-0 to retire the UHS American Indian Mascot. Read more about the process and decision to retire the UHS Mascot and view Mr. Crater's presentation here.

It is that time of year again! For the next month, the PTO Directory Information Input Form is available to fill out for families who would like to be listed in the 2020-2021 UCFSD PTO Directory. Please complete no later than Wednesday, September 23.
Last night, the School Board approved a virtual start to the 20/21 school year through October 9, 2020. They also voted to officially begin the school year on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Please read more for important information on what to expect in the upcoming weeks.

While we are in the midst of summer - we are all thinking of the start of school in the fall. Since April we have been developing our Health and Safety Plan for reopening all UCF schools safely while providing options to meet students' unique needs.
In light of recent conversations in our community, the District will be asking the School Board to consider a motion to conduct a formal review of the UHS mascot.

The UHS Tech Ed department came together, while at home, to do their part to support healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the guidance of Mr. Mike Berkiehiser, Mr. Steve Ortega and Mr. Neil Linkmeyer, UHS students made protective face shields for local medical professionals to use during this stressful time.
The UHS Chorale worked with composer Will Todd, from England, to create the following virtual concert. Enjoy!
Mr. Jason Palo from Patton Middle School has been selected as one of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association's 2020 Emerging Leader award recipients. Mr. Palo is one of only four teachers in the world recognized with the distinction this year.
