Over 70 local and regional professional artists will display and sell their art in an array of mediums to satisfy every taste and budget at the 61st Annual Chadds Ford Art Sale & Show on Friday, March 19th from 7pm - 10pm and Saturday, March 20th from 10am - 4pm. As in previous years, patrons can meet the artists on Friday evening while enjoying live music and complimentary hors d’oeuvres from prominent local restaurants.
This year’s Featured Artist is Len Garon whose oil, “Chadds Ford Spring Flowers”, was painted just for the show. The spring theme is perfect for the anticipation of the end of winter! The original and prints of “Chadds Ford Spring Flowers”, along with many other offerings from Len, will be available for sale at the show. Mr. Garon is an accomplished artist and art educator whose works are displayed in many galleries, as well as in corporate, museum, and private collections, such as in the White House in Washington, D.C.
Our Donating Artist, Diane Cannon, has created an original mixed media painting called “Fresh Snow”, which has a distinct Chester County feel. This work will be featured in the raffle. Diane studies, paints and exhibits at the Howard Pyle Studio in Wilmington, Delaware and draws her inspiration from the Brandywine Valley and her travels. This year’s other raffle items, which include signed prints by Andrew and Jamie Wyeth, will be posted on our website listed below.
On Friday and Saturday, patrons will be entertained by accomplished musicians, both students and professionals alike. On Saturday, patrons also will be treated to live painting demonstrations by several of our artists. Admission is free and 30% of all purchases are tax deductible.
