Chadds Ford Elementary School is located on the border of Chester and Delaware Counties. Our school has a unique past, which dates back to the early 1900's. Although the school has gone through many changes over time, it remains a place of academic excellence and pride. To learn more about the rich history of our school, please visit the article below, which was written by Mary W. McMullan who taught at Chadds Ford Elementary School from 1929 - 1971.

CFE Traditions
Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale
Chadds Ford Elementary School has strong ties with our local art community. Each year, the Chadds Ford PTO hosts the Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale. Local artists from around the region display and sell original and printed pieces of art. Proceeds from this event benefit our students and staff members. This years event is being held on March 28th and 29th.
May Fair

The May Fair was once known as May Day. It was first held on Saturday, May 21, 1949 and included events such as square dancing, crowning of the May Queen, and the May Pole Dance. The May Fair still remains today and holds many of these activities. Our annual May Fair is not only a day of fun for students, but also a time for our entire school to reflect on our rich history, which we hold so dear.
Unionville Community Fair
The Unionville Community Fair has been a part of our community's history for over eighty years. The Unionville community and the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District join together each year to provide a wonderful learning opportunity for our students. The fair events promote learning and fun with hands on agricultural activities such as a Petting Zoo for our younger children to student run exhibits featuring prize winning animals to unique classroom projects. The Fair has plenty more to do with hay rides and visits from local vendors and crafters. This year, the Unionville Community Fair is being held on October 11th - 13th. For more information, please visit the Unionville Fair website.
